President al-Alimi receives UN envoy for Yemen

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Wednesday UN Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg discussing with him latest developments in Yemeni file and UN efforts for reviving peace in Yemen.

In the meeting, which was attended by members of the Presidential Council Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Mujalli and Sultan al-Erada, the UN envoy briefed them on results of his recent meetings on local and regional levels and chances of using them to pressure Houthi terrorist militia to deal seriously with the initiatives and the regional and international efforts to launch inclusive political process led by the United Nations to meet aspirations of all Yemeni people in regaining state institutions and realizing security and stability.

President al-Alimi confirmed commitment of the council and the government regarding the just and inclusive peace on the bases of the three-internationally agreed upon references and support of the UN envoy's efforts for honoring Security Council's resolutions, especially resolution No. 22016, which aims at protecting international peace and security.

President and members of the Presidential Leadership Council confirmed their rejection to continuous Houthi militia's violations, especially prosecuting kidnapped journalists and continuous weapons trafficking to Houthi terrorist militia from Iran.
