The Yemeni government has reiterated its call to the international community and the Security Council to provide assistance in finding possible ways to resume oil and gas exports as a crucial step towards achieving stability and economic recovery.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammed al-Zaouri appealed to the UN's agencies and international organizations operate in Yemen to transfer the funds allocated to finance their projects and programs in Yemen through the Central Bank of Yemen in the temporary capital Aden in order to contribute toward stabilizing the national currency, sustain the government's efforts to manage the economic challenges.
He launched his appeal during his discussions today, Thursday, with the UN Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen David Gressly.
The Minister also called on the UN's agencies and international organizations to establish their headquarters in Aden alongside the internationally recognized government.
He promised every necessary support to ease the international organizations' operations.
