The Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the history of struggle of Yemeni women who are steadfast in the face of the exceptional conditions of war imposed on the Yemeni people by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia.
The ministry said in a press statement on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on the 8th of March, "The principle of equality will remain part of the national agenda of the Yemeni government, which aims to protect women from all forms of discrimination in work and society and empower them in all fields, and ensure to raise the level of their participation and empowerment through Its national and international programs, in a way that enhances the true civilized image of Yemen, as a government that gives confidence to women as an authentic partner in achieving development and building sustainable peace."
