The Japanese government announced a new emergency grant of $5 million in response to the food crisis in Yemen.
The Japanese embassy in Yemen said in a statement that the emergency grant aims to help improve the situation in the field of food, and will provide food aid to the Yemeni people through the World Food Program (WFP(.
The statement affirmed that Japan continues its endeavors to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people in the current difficult situation by providing humanitarian assistance in various fields, and remains committed to continuing efforts in cooperation with the United Nations and concerned countries to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.
