President al-Alimi meets with Arab Ambassadors to Belgium, European Union

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with member of the Council Faraj al-Bahssani met today, Wednesday, with Arab Ambassadors, the two Missions of Arab League and the Gulf Cooperation Council to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union (EU).

The President greeted the Arab diplomats, briefed them on the outcomes of his state-visit to Brussels, praising their role in defending the Yemeni cause and serving the Arab nation's interests.

His Excellency detailed the Arab Ambassadors on the developments of the Yemeni situation, prospects for reviving the political process in view of the coordinated efforts between Arab brethren, friends and the UN's Special Envoy to Yemen amid the continuing intransigence of the Iranian regime-backed Terrorist Houthi militias and Iran's sabotage scheme in the region.

The President touched upon the economic and humanitarian challenges the Yemeni State has been facing and the role of the brothers of the Arab Coalition in support of legality led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in maintaining the basic services and reducing the repercussions of the Houthis' terrorist attacks on oil facilities, infrastructure and international navigation shipping lines.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council engaged in discussions about the issues of common interest and the means of coordinating the stances at different regional and international stages.
