Minister of State, Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, discussed with the Head of Operations at the UNHCR in Yemen, Muhammad Nasri, coordination mechanisms and aspects of joint cooperation to deal with issues of displacement, asylum, and illegal immigration.
Lamlas said that Aden faces many challenges in the absence of strategic programs to deal with issues of displacement and migrants, and that the local authority has submitted proposals to various concerned organizations aimed at providing shelters and protection for the displaced, and reducing any security, health and social problems.. stressing that the local authority is ready to facilitate and run the projects and works of the organizations that are keen to coordinate and communicate with them in advance in this aspect.
