The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, in the interim capital, Aden, signed with UNICEF the National Plan for Social Protection Programs 2023-2024, which aims to strengthen the capacities of the authorities and partners to reduce child poverty, ensure the enforcement of children's rights, and achieve integrated social protection.
The Acting Deputy Minister for the Social Welfare Sector, Saleh Mahmoud, praised the role of UNICEF as a major and active partner with the Ministry in financing and implementing programs in various fields.
The resident representative of the organization, Peter Hawkins, stressed the importance of protection programs for all social groups, including children and women, praising the level of partnership and coordination with the ministry in all fields.
