His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

ADEN-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak held discussions today, Monday, in the temporary capital Aden with the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) Gabriel Munuera Vinlas and a number of the EU's countries Ambassadors to the Republic of Yemen.

The talks covered the developments in Yemen and topics relating to the regional and international good offices to make peace.

BinMubarak stated that achieving peace that is based on the three terms of peace references is a top priority for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government, referring to the significant concessions the government has offered in order to push peace.

He blamed the Houthi militias for blocking the UN-led efforts to make peace, refusing to renew the humanitarian-truce, has never stopped their military escalation and attacks in different flashpoints.

The Foreign Minister noted that the Presidential Leadership Council and government have been seeking to improve basic services and the peoples' living conditions despite the limited resources and multiple economic and humanitarian challenges the country has been struggling with due to Houthi militias' aggression on the Yemeni peoples and the country's crucial economic facilities and resources.

The EU's diplomats have confirmed their supportive stance in support of the political solution in Yemen and the Presidential Leadership Council to achieve the peace.
