Finance Minister Salem Saleh bin Breik discussed with the Yemen Country Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Kimberlee Bell, the Agency's project plan for the current year 2023 AD.
The meeting held in the Saudi capital Riyadh today touched on the aspects of support provided by the USAID through the Pragma Company, and the promotion of aspects of joint cooperation between the two government sides represented by the Ministry of Finance and the US represented by the USAID.
They also discussed the cooperation of the two sides in applying technical and automated systems in the aspects of the treasury, government accounts and public finance management, in order to ensure the optimal use of government monetary resources and enhance control and transparency, as well as qualify the cadres of the Ministry of Finance and its affiliated departments.
The Minister of Finance praised the efforts and support of the USAID and Pragma Company through the implementation of a number of projects aimed at contributing to the promotion of the principles of transparency and the creation of financial technical systems to enhance financial oversight and management, as well as the keenness to qualify and build the capacities of the ministry's cadres and its affiliated departments.
