The High Economic Council (HEC) has approved an array of procedures to handle the topical issues in the economic and financial fields, maintain the relatively stability in the national currency exchange rates and average prices.
In its session today, Tuesday, presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik in the temporary capital Aden the HEC discussed a number of suggestions put forward by Minister of Finance Salim bin Bureik and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghalib about the measures need to be taken to rationalize spending, increase revenues and handle the repercussions of the Terrorist Houthi militias' attacks on oil facilities upon the economic and humanitarian situations.
The HEC has adopted a number of policies aiming to enhance and diversify revenues, broaden their conduits and ensure delivering them to the government's official account.
