Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik chaired today, Wednesday, in the interim capital Aden the first meeting of the national committee for facilitating trade.
The committee is established with the aim of ensuring easily flow of commodities imports to Yemen.
Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Ashwal is the chairman of the committee which includes membership of under-secretaries of the ministries and authorities in charge in addition to representatives of Chamber of Commerce, Union of Customs Clearance Firms and navigation and insurance companies.
The committee has approved setting-up teamwork and technical panels to carry out the tasks the committee has been created for.
The Prime Minister reiterated the importance of establishing robust partnership between the government and the private-sector not only in trade but also in the fields of infrastructure and services.
Dr. Ma'een directed the Committee to work out a framework of active partnership between the government and private-sector corporates.
