The Republic of Yemen participated in the preparatory meeting at the level of senior officials for the 38th ministerial session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) held in Istanbul, Turkey, with a delegation headed by the Yemeni Ambassador to Ankara, Muhammad Saleh Tariq.
During the period from 26 to 29 November, the meeting will discuss ways to provide effective social assistance and social and economic empowerment in light of the emerging Covid-19 pandemic, and a number of issues related to economic and trade cooperation between the countries of the organization. The committee meets annually in Istanbul to discuss common economic issues and global economic developments related to the OIC countries.
