The Ministry of Justice participated in the workshop on maritime security and combating transnational maritime crime held at the Djibouti Regional Training Center with the support of the European Union.
The workshop discussed the establishment of a network of regional prosecutors in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, and the strengthening of cooperation between local, regional and international agencies.

The workshop, organized by the Global Monitoring Program on Drugs and Crime of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, came out with a number of recommendations, including activating agreements related to combating maritime crime, and supporting the legislative and logistical aspect to combat arms and drug smuggling.
