Signing treaties for implementing water projects worth USD 1.1 million

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi signed Wednesday here with UK Muslim Hands organization two treaties to implement two water projects in Marib and Lahj with the cost of USD1.1 million.

Minister al-Sharjabi and the Regional Director of Muslim Hands Abdulrahman Hussein singed a treaty of constructing ground tank with the capacity of 2000 cubic meter in Marib to solve water problem in the province.

The project targets more than one million people.

The two parties also signed a treaty for constructing stone-water tank with the capacity of 200 cubic meter for the people of Halia area, Radfan District, Lahj Province and adding pipeline of nine Km.

The project provides water service to 85 thousand people in the area.
