Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak spoke today, Wednesday, on the phone with Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Yemen Gabriel Munuera Vinals about the political developments in our country amid Houthi militias' continuous rejection to a proposal suggested by the UN special envoy aimed to extend the truce .
Bin Mubarak explained the government's efforts and concessions it has offered in a bid to help ending the war and its disastrous consequences.
He noted that Houthi militias are unjustifiably seeking to return to war, widening its scope to target oil companies operate in Yemen and the region, threatening international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
The European Union Ambassador confirmed the EU's support for the efforts have been made by the UN's envoy to make peace in Yemen.
