Yemen and several Arab and Muslim countries have denounced the announcement by the self-declared Somaliland region regarding the opening of what was described as a diplomatic mission in occupied Jerusalem, calling the move unlawful and a clear breach of international law and relevant UN resolutions governing the status of the city.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met today, Tuesday here with the Speaker of Moroccan Parliament Rashead al-Alami within his current state-visit to the Moroccan Kingdom.

Bin Mabarak praised the Moroccan supportive stances in support of the Yemeni peoples and legitimate government.

Aspects of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries were key focus of the conversations.

The discussions also touched upon the latest developments in Yemen including economic hardships and humanitarian crisis due to Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup.

The Foreign Minister blamed the Iranian spoiler role for prolonging the Yemeni conflict through Houthi militias that has been carrying out the Iranian agenda, promoting sectarian policy, destabilizing the region's stability.

The Speaker of Moroccan Parliament confirmed Morocco's full support for the Yemeni peoples and legitimate government.
He also affirmed Morocco's support for Yemen's unity, security and stability.
