Yemen participates in custom tariff's meetings in Cairo

The Republic of Yemen has participated in the meeting of updating Arab Customs Tariff and the 45th Meeting of Customs Tariffs Committee here.

The meeting of customs tariff committee discussed updating Arab customs in accordance with amendments of organized system of the international customs organization of 2022, especially chapters 70 to 97.

The meeting also discussed banned and controlled categories and approved mechanisms to include local articles in the United Arab Tarriff.

The participants confirmed significance of working on putting solutions and rapprochements to the customs tariffs between Arab countries. They also approved forming a team for updating the tables of the United Arab Tariff in accordance with the organized system for this year.

General Manager of the Value Department in Customs Authority, the Head of Yemen's Delegation Mohammad Quradha confirmed keenness of the authority on keeping pace with tariff updates, pointing out that the customs authority was ordered to follow up changes and alterations taken by International Customs Organization for 2022.
