A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, chaired this morning at the Presidential Palace in Ma’ashiq an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers.

The meeting, which was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik, was devoted to discussing a number of urgent issues, foremost of which is activating the work of ministries and opening their headquarters in the capital, Aden, to carry out the tasks entrusted to them towards citizens and ways and mechanisms to double their budgets and provide them with trained youth cadres.

In this context, Major General Al-Zubaidi stressed the need to open the headquarters of the ministries in the capital, Aden, and for all government ministers to carry out their duties from the main headquarters of their ministries, stressing that working from outside the temporary capital of Aden is unacceptable, and a member of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the need to make more efforts to improve the performance of ministries, activating their activities and job discipline, rehabilitating the facilities affiliated to each ministry to make the most of them, and supplying ministries with trained youth cadres capable of keeping pace with developments in various fields.

The extraordinary meeting also discussed the ministries' budgets, and ways of enhancing and doubling them to enable the ministries to perform their tasks.

After that, Major General Al-Zubaidi listened from the Prime Minister and members of the Council of Ministers to the total difficulties faced by their ministries, the efforts made to activate their work and intensify their activities in the temporary capital Aden and all the liberated governorates, and the efforts made by the ministers to overcome these difficulties.

Prime Minister Dr. Moeen Abdulmalik welcomed the member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, to preside over this exceptional session, and considered this a message of support for the government, based on the fact that the support of the Presidential Leadership Council is a basis for the work and achievement of the government and participation in facing the current challenges.

Dr. Moeen Abdul-Malik praised what Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi presented in his speech and his vision to activate the ministries’ performance and the government’s efforts in this aspect.. He referred to what the government had achieved during the past period in various aspects and its vision to deal with challenges and overcome them under the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council.
