His Excellency President Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) arrived today, Monday, in Berlin on several-day state visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the visit he is set to meet with the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and senior German officials.
Al-Alimi's visit to Germany is intended to discuss with the German leaders the latest developments in Yemen, regional and international efforts to alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering and establish peace and stability in Yemen.
The Chairman of the PLC highly praised the distinguished Yemeni-German relations, Berlin's supportive stances in support of the legality in Yemen and its efforts aiming to revive political process, regain the state's institutions and eliminate Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) President al-Alimi stated that he is confident that this visit is set to further increase the German developmental interventions by the German international organizations which have already been operating in Yemen for decades.
The President is accompanied by the Director of the Republic Presidency Office Dr. Yahya Ashua'ibi and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak.
