A government team from Marib Governorate concluded its official visit to the Republic of Rwanda within the activities of the SIERY project implemented by the United Nations Development Program in Yemen with funding from the European Union.
At the end of the visit, the head and members of the government team held a closing session with their Rwandan counterparts to discuss mechanisms and ways to enhance cooperation, communication and joint coordination in all service areas in order to benefit from the visit program in improving the level of services in Marib Governorate.
The two sides exchanged views on the visit and the participants’ impressions of it.
The government team expressed its thanks to the Rwandan officials for the warm reception and hospitality throughout the days of the visit, and their gratitude to the leadership of the Rwandan Cooperation Agency and the United Nations Development Program in Yemen for giving them this opportunity to learn about one of the most successful recent development experiences.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the head of the government team, Ali al-Jabal, confirmed that the visit was fruitful, and it reinforced many concepts and ideas of the visiting team, and added to it many new visions about institutional and economic flexibility, and reconstruction, which will be reflected in the plans of the executive offices to the local authority in the governorate, enabling them to develop innovative development strategies capable of stimulating local development in the governorate, expanding the base of its available economic resources and drawing inspiration from successful experiences in Rwanda from new visions, ideas and practical recovery plans to implement service projects that meet the needs of the community in all basic services.
