Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh BinMubarak received Thursday Ambassador of the United Kingdom Ritchard Oppenheim discussing with him latest developments in Yemen and efforts for realizing peace.
Foreign Minister emphasized significance of ending Houthi siege on Taiz as humanitarian issue to millions of citizens who want to regain their basic rights looted by Houthi militia, pointing out that Houthi rejection of opening roads of Taiz will hinder peace process in Yemen.
He confirmed government's welcome to all efforts aiming at realizing peace in Yemen and for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people across the country, pointing out to putting pressure on Houthi militia to deal positively with the UN Truce and honor their commitments included in the truce's articles.
For his part, the UK diplomat expressed his country's position supporting Yemen and continuous support to peace efforts to regain security and stability in Yemen.
