The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basheeb, discussed with the Director of the United Nations World Food Program Office in Aden the alignment between food aid and donor funding.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the phased classification process for the groups benefiting from food and relief aid
provided by donors in the various targeted regions and governorates, to contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens.
Basheeb stressed the keenness of the government and the Ministry of Planning to provide available assistance to citizens affected by the current difficult conditions that the country is currently going through, based on the commitment to responsibility before the various groups and segments of society throughout the governorates of the Republic.
