The local authority in Marib Governorate received an official request from the International Relief Organization to open an office in the governorate.
This came during a meeting with the Governorate's Deputy Governor, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah, in his office today, with the Deputy Country Director of the organization who is visiting the governorate, along with the Humanitarian Access Coordinator.
Miftah heard from the organization’s officials, an explanation on the nature of the organization’s humanitarian work and their intervention projects that they intend to implement in the governorate.
He welcomed the organization and its humanitarian activities to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and the host community, hoping that it would be a qualitative addition to the humanitarian partners with the local authority emphasizing the authority’s keenness to provide all facilities to the organization..
