Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mansour Baggash voiced appreciation for the Republic of Ireland government's support for legitimate Yemeni government and people.

His remarks came as he met today with the Non- Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to the Republic of Yemen Gerard Mackie.

Baggash briefed the Irish diplomat on the latest developments in Yemen including the extension of the UN-sponsored truce and the Yemeni government's efforts to alleviate the peoples' suffering.

The Irish diplomat confirmed his government's continuous support for the Yemeni government's efforts to achieve peace, re-establish security and stability in Yemen.
