Deputy Speaker of Parliament appreciates Japanese support for Yemen in different fields

RIYADH - SABA
Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Ba-Sorrah along with several MPs met today here with the Assistant of Japanese Foreign Minister, Director General of Middle East and Africa in the Japanese Ministry Ambassador Kansoka Najoca.

They conferred over bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in different fields.

The discussions also touched upon the latest developments in Yemen and UN-led efforts to make peace.

Ba-Sorrah voiced appreciation for the Japanese government for the significant support it provides to Yemen in different fields, specially Japan's substantial contribution to the humanitarian actions in Yemen.

He also appreciated Japan's welcoming the creation of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament briefed the Japanese diplomat on the latest developments in Yemen including the government's commitment to the UN-brokered truce, highlighting Yemen's need for further support from friends including the Japanese to enable the government manage the economic hardships and improve basic service as well as to allay the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

The Assistant of the Japanese Foreign Minister confirms the continuation of his country's support for Yemen, noting that Japan will provide more projects and necessary aids to Yemen, resume support for developmental projects.

The Japanese diplomat reiterated his country's supportive stance in support of the PLC, Yemen's unity, security and stability.
