Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik was briefed in the temporary capital, Aden, on the current and future projects of the Executive Unit of the internationally funded projects at the Ministry of Public Works and Roads, the challenges it faces and the mechanisms for overcoming them.
The Prime Minister heard from the director general of the unit and its specialists, a report on its activity in following up externally funded projects in urban and rural roads and connecting roads, and its plan to restore funds with donors such as the Bates-Rasad Road, the sea road and bridges in Mukalla, in addition to projects for financing alternative housing with Habitat and with funding by donors.
Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik directed the Executive Unit to plan new projects in the liberated areas, re-allocate some of the portfolios and develop plans, studies and specific mechanisms that take into account the necessary aspects of need.
He stressed the importance of knowing the needs in a realistic manner and reallocating them in coordination with donors.
