The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheeb, participated in a round table meeting that was held under the chairmanship of the Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, as part of the activities of the 47th annual meetings of the Islamic Bank Group in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The meeting discussed the Islamic Bank’s support for the member states most affected - including Yemen - by the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian-Russian crisis, and the assistance of member states in providing funds for the establishment of environmentally friendly and sustainable infrastructure, and increasing the Islamic Bank’s contribution to financing national priorities related to the development of human capital, especially in Yemen, and support projects to adapt to climate change.
