Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women
The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Moreover, Dr. Ahd Mohammed Salem Jaasous was appointed Minister of Local Administration, becoming the first woman to take on this ministry since the establishment of the republic.

President directs YEC to provide support to Aden charitable bakeries

His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, directed the Yemeni Economic Corporation (YEC) to provide support to Aden charitable bakeries to expand production and accommodate the needs of citizens.

During his meeting in the presence of the Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdul Rahman Abu Zara’a Al Muharrami, today, in the temporary capital of Aden, the Minister of State and Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas, Director of the Yemeni Economic Corporation, Brigadier Sami Al-Saidi, and Director of Aden Charitable Ovens Fahd Abdullah Al-Bari, affirmed the support of the projects which contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens as a result of the war imposed by the Houthi coup militia.

His Excellency the President urged the local authority in Aden and the economic institution to provide the necessary facilities and work to provide adequate support to increase the target groups and beneficiaries of the Aden Charitable Ovens project from 50,000 to 100,000 cases that can be increased, stressing the need to extrapolate the experience of Aden Charitable Ovens in the liberated governorates, provided that the economic institution undertakes the establishment of new automatic bakeries and the expansion of activity in those governorates.
