The Council of Minister has approved the proposal of the state's general budget of the fiscal year 2022.
In its session held today in the temporary capital Aden presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik the Cabinet also approved the budgets' proposals of the independent and affiliate Units and special Funds of the fiscal year 2022.
The Cabinet ordered the Minister of Legal Affairs—in coordinating with the Finance Minister—to refer the state's general budget plan to the Parliament to get the necessary constitutional procedures accomplished.
The Council of Ministers has confirmed the government's keenness to make the necessary arrangements to hold an international donor conference to mobilize the needed financial resources to sustain the Yemeni economy in response to the noble call announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The Cabinet highly praised the urgent economic support with $3 billion provided by the KAS and United Arab Emirates (UAE) to bail the Yemeni economy, out of which $2 billion to be shared by the KSA and UAE to support the Central Bank of Yemen and one billion pledged by the KSA out of which $600 million to support the purchase of oil derivatives and $400 million to establish developmental projects.
The Cabinet has approved $5 million as annual contribution by the government to operate Aden Public Hospital.
The Council of Ministers agreed to enter into a contract with Hadramout Investment Company to provide the purchased electricity energy through electricity-generate units operate on fuel oil with total capacity 40 Megawatt to overcome the shortages of power in the region of Hadramout coastline.
