Yemen’s Ambassador to the United States, Jamila Raja, met on Thursday with Robert Palladino, an official in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries across a variety of fields.

Arab countries welcome formation of new presidential council

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain have welcomed declaration of President Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi of establishing Presidential Council Leadership to finalize the transitional period and giving all powers of president to the council.

Saudi Arabia confirmed full support to the presidential council and entities supporting it to enable it practice its duties and implement effective policies and initiatives to realize security and stability in the Republic of Yemen and ending Yemen's crisis, according to Saudi News Agency ( WAS).

In this regard, Saudi Arabia announced of providing quick fund support to Yemen's economy worth USD three billions from Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Two billions of this financial support provided equally from Saudi Arabia and Emirates will be assigned to the Central Bank of Yemen and one billion for buying oil derivatives and for implementing developmental projects in the country.

Ministries of foreign affairs of Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain confirmed their support to the new Yemeni presidential council to manage the state affairs and ending Yemen's crisis through inclusive political solution between all parties.
