Yemeni government welcomes earnest efforts to make peace

The Yemeni Government has welcomed the honest efforts aiming to eliminate Houthi militia's coup and bring about peace.

After his meeting with the UN's Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Bin Mubarak said in a press statement " the government has always been seeking peace, welcomed all UN's and regional calls, the latest one is the Saudi proposal that has clearly called for comprehensive cease-fire."

He went on saying" The government has constructively and earnestly engaged with the UN's envoy since he was appointed in discussions with the purpose of reaching an total cease-fire agreement and handling all humanitarian issues relating to the Yemeni peoples' life all over the country".

He added" the Yemeni government is reacting responsibly with the GCC's call for consultations and similar calls by the UN that can help alleviating the citizens' suffering".

Bin Mubarak stated that the putschists have continued to refuse to engage in genuine negotiations, instead launch empty and irresponsible proposals do not approach the grassroots of the problem and their coup d'état, this is signaling that they are not dealing responsibly with the humanitarian and economic situations created by the war and they are alarmingly exacerbating with the international crisises, will have awful impacts upon the Yemenis.

The Foreign Minister reiterated the call to respond to the voice of the logic, deal responsibly with the GCC's call and grasp the initiative and the UN's efforts to get Yemen out of its dilemma, put an end of the Yemenis' ordeal and achieve the desirable peace.
