On the sidelines of his participation in the Munich Peace and Security Conference, Yemen Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met with the Chairman of the Defense Committee in the British House of Commons, and reviewed with him the latest developments on the political and military arenas in Yemen.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance the government's efforts to achieve security and stability and resolve the crisis in Yemen.

Bin Mubarak touched on the sabotage role played by Iran in Yemen and the region, and its continuous violations of the decision to ban the export of arms to the Houthi militia imposed by the Security Council.

The two parties discussed possible ways to solve the issue of the aging Safer oil tanker to spare Yemen and the region the risk of a potential environmental disaster resulting from any explosion or leakage that might occur in the tank.
