Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik stated that Houthi militias should not be allowed to capitalize on the humanitarian crisis to blackmail the International Community (IC) in order to prolonging the war, worsening the humanitarian catastrophe it has caused by its coup d'état against the official authority, triggered a warfare to achieve its political goals.

He voiced his remarks as he met today in the temporary capital Aden today with a EU humanitarian delegation.

The EU delegation included senior officials in charge of humanitarian aids in the EU Commission and the Foreign Ministries of Sweden and Switzerland.

Ma'een restated that the legitimate government is committed to a responsible partnership with the UN and international organizations, to ease their operations, take every necessary measure to help alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering all over Yemen.

The Prime Minister's conversations with the EU delegation focused on aspects of coordination and cooperation to remove the obstacles facing the humanitarian action.

The discussions also touched upon the efforts to mobilize regional and international support for Humanitarian Response Plan Yemen 2022.
