Shamsan calls on WFP to increase its interventions in Taiz

Governor of Taiz governorate Nabil Shamsan appealed to the World Food Program (WFP) to double down its humanitarian actions in Taiz to help allay the Taizians' suffering due to Houthi militia's war and blockade it has imposed the city and the entire governorate.

He voiced his appeal as he met today here with Country Director of the WFP Loran Bokira.

Shamsan detailed Bokira on the humanitarian situations in Taiz and the population long-standing suffering who have been chafed under the militia's strangling besiege for seven successive years.

The WFP's official affirmed that the WFP is seeking to offer more humanitarian aids and assistance in the upcoming period.
