The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. Interior Minister meets with UK Ambassador to Yemen

Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haydan met today here in the temporary capital Aden with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to the Republic of Yemen Richard Oppenheim.

The conversations focused on the latest security situations and developments in the Yemeni scene, mainly in the government-controlled regions and aspects of cooperation and coordination with British friends about fighting terrorism.

Haydan underscored the importance of the implementation of the military and security articles of Riyadh Agreement, highlighting the need for establishing a united operation unit of all security structures in the temporary capital under the leadership of the Interior Ministry.

The British diplomat commended the active cooperation between the two countries' governments, particularly in the area of security and counter-terrorism.

Mr. Oppenheim confirmed the UK's support for the Yemeni government and Yemen's security and stability.
