The Vice-President of the Republic Lieutenant-General Ali Mohsen Saleh congratulated the national junior team on qualifying for the final of the West Asian Football Championship by defeating the Syrian team today.
This came during phone calls made by the Vice President of the Republic with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Naef Al-Bakri, the President of the General Football Association Sheikh Ahmed Al-Essa, and other sports officials including the national team's coach, Qais Saleh.
The Vice President praised this great achievement of the national team and created great joy among the sports fans and the Yemeni people aspiring for stability and security and achievements in various fields after overcoming the difficulties and obstacles of the coup and terrorism.
In his contacts, the vice president congratulated the team players individually and the administrative and technical staff for this wonderful qualification, the honorable level, the professional football performance and the high sportsmanship that the team embodied and through which it reflected the strength, determination and morals of the country’s youth and their ability to overcome difficulties and achieve a distinguished victory and paint an honorable image for the youth of Yemen and its generations. The Vice-President expressed his thanks and appreciation to the members of the team’s mission, its administrative and technical staff, and to the talented players, stressing the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the General Football Association, to provide all aspects of support and assistance necessary for the team to continue the march of excellence and success in the final of the West Asian Championship, and its regional and international sports benefits. .
For their part, the Minister of Youth and Sports, the President of the Football Association, members of the mission and the players of the national team expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the gesture of the Vice President and his encouragement to them in their distinguished sports career, stressing the continuation of efforts to raise the name of Yemen high in various sports forums and keenness to provide a better performance in the upcoming rounds.
