Fifth consignment of Saudi oil grant arrives in Aden

The fifth shipment of Saudi oil grant included 60 thousand metric ton of diesel has already arrived in the oil harbor in the temporary capital Aden, the remaining portion of the batch is 30 thousand metric ton of fuel oil is set to arrive shortly.

The oil grant is provided by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction Yemen (SPDRY) worth $422 million intended to operate electricity generate stations in the government-held governorates.

The total quantity of the grant is 909 thousand metric tons of diesel and 591 of fuel oil. Some 334 thousand metric tons of diesel and 145 metric tons of fuel oil have already delivered.

The Saudi oil grant has proved very helpful for Yemen, increased power generate up to 40% and created job opportunity for 2250 persons, operated 3163 trucks.
