Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Wednesday with German Charge D'Affairs in Yemen Michael Fostland cooperation in water and environment fields and qualifying infrastructure of water and sanitation in Yemen.
Al-Sharjabi pointed out to German's role supporting Yemen in developmental fields, infrastructure projects and implementing capacity building projects in the framework of implementing the national strategy of water and supporting policies of reforming water sector.
The two parties also discussed current German Support to Yemen and needs in field of infrastructure and rehabilitating projects and institutional capacity building after damages caused by Houthi militia's triggered war.
The two parties confirmed significance of coordination and cooperation and exerting more efforts to regain joint programs and transferring from emergency programs into developmental projects to ensure provision of water and sanitation services and environment protection projects in urban and rural areas.
For his part, the German diplomat confirmed continuous support of his country to Yemen in fields of water and environment, confirming promoting cooperation and coordination for transferring from emergency programs into developmental projects, as well as improving basic services in Yemen.
