The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

Government: Houthi attack on Mocha harbor blatant defiance of international peace efforts

The Yemeni government said" the attack carried out by Houthi militia on the seaport of al-Mocha was a flagrant defiance of the UN-led efforts to mitigate the humanitarian crisis and put an end of the war in Yemen".

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a press release learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) " Houthi militia launched today a ballistic missile and five laden-explosive drones on al-Mocha harbor on the west coast resulted in heavy damages".

The statement reported that the Houthi terrorist attack caused burning of the food storages of several relief organizations operate in the west coast, large quantity of the commercial goods of the importers were also damaged.

The Ministry called on the UN and international community to condemn Houthi crimes and take firm action to hold the perpetrators accountable.
