The Yemeni government has reiterated its call to the international community and the Security Council to provide assistance in finding possible ways to resume oil and gas exports as a crucial step towards achieving stability and economic recovery.

The Ambassador of Yemen to Ottawa Jamal Al-Sallal discussed with the Canadian Director General for Middle East in the Canadian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Jess Dutton, ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the developments of the situation on the Yemeni arena.
Ambassador Al-Sallal affirmed the Yemeni government’s keenness to end the war in the country and establish peace in accordance with the agreed references.
He reiterated the Yemeni government’s appreciations for the Canadian support provided to Yemen in the political and humanitarian fields.
He looked forward to the Canadian role in the reconstruction and increased support for the humanitarian response plan, as a result of the critical humanitarian situation which our country is going through, especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
