Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani has welcomed the United Nations' move to evacuate all its foreign international employees from the kidnapped capital, Sanaa, and areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi militia supported by the Iranian regime.

Marib's deputy governor discusses with UN delegation relief activities

Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah discussed Monday with the delegation of the United Nations headed by Deputy Envoy of the UN to Yemen for Humanitarian Affairs Diego Zuwila boosting partnership with the local authority and concerned offices for providing relief and shelters to displaced people.

Miftah discussed with the delegation, which included Director of OCHA in Aden, director of UNICEF office in Aden and Director of OCHA in Marib, a number of issues and topics associated with activities of UN organizations in relief and humanitarian fields in the province and increasing and urgent needs of the displaced people.

He reviewed efforts of the local authority in cooperation with humanitarian partners of providing help and shelter to displaced people and most significant challenges facing the local authority.

For his part, the Deputy Head of the UN Envoy to Yemen made it clear that his visit to Marib aims at inspecting performance of the UN organizations in the province and studying the humanitarian needs in the province.

He reviewed plans, programs and projects of the UN organizations to be implemented in Marib in the future, thanking the leadership of the province for continuous cooperation and facilitating the work of these organizations.
