The Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basheeb discussed in separate meetings with officials and directors of a number of international organizations in Aden today the implementation of projects in the fields of demining, health, society, water, environmental sanitation and international humanitarian law, in various governorates of the country.
In a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Danish Refugee Council, the organization’s regional director for the Middle East and the organization’s director in Yemen, he discussed the mechanism for implementing demining projects and the importance of providing equipment and training Yemeni staff in mine action operations.
The meeting also touched on addressing the difficulties facing the implementation of projects and attention to the quality of projects in line with the government's orientation to enhance development aspects.
In a meeting with the Regional Director of Operations at Action Against Hunger, in the presence of the organization's field coordinator and the Director of the Health and Nutrition Program, he discussed strengthening aspects of cooperation to implement the organization's projects in the aspects of health, nutrition and environmental sanitation in a number of regions of the governorates of Abyan, Lahj, and the city of Al-Khoukha in Hodeidah.
He also met the Director of ZWA Organization in Yemen and the Director of Programs in the organization and the talks highlighted the level of implementation of water projects, which include the completion of the implementation of the water tank pipelines supply project in the Buriqa district in Aden.
