Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Sunday with the Officer of Water and Sanitation at UNICEF Dominque Porto boosting cooperation and coordination in implementing water and sanitation projects in Yemen.
The meeting, which was held through video conferencing, approved revising the list of the projects financed by World Bank with USD 13 million.
The two parties agreed on boosting the water and sanitation capabilities to be able improve services provided to citizens.
Minister al-Sharjabi praised cooperation between the organization and the ministry, stressing significance of working on the framework of priorities and government's plans for improving water and sanitation services across Yemen.
For his part, the UN official confirmed continuous support of the organization to the government and providing needed support for improving water and sanitation services.
