A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

Saudi initiative to end the Yemeni crisis welcomed by AL, states

The Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abu al-Ghait voiced his support to the Saudi initiative aims to end the Yemeni crisis and get comprehensive political settlement in Yemen.

In a statement issued today Abu al-Ghait described the initiative as a constructive step toward an inclusive settlement in Yemen.

A number of Arab countries including the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan, the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain also announced full support to the Saudi proposal intends to bring about an end of the Yemeni dilemma and re-establish peace.
