The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed a strong-worded protest note to the International Committee for the Red Cross on the meeting between the head of the organization's delegation in Yemen Katerina Ritz and the so-called Hassan Erloo, the Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Houthi-held areas.
The ministry is waiting for clarifications from ICRC on the circumstances of the mistake committed by the office of the organization, said a responsible source at the ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates on Monday.
"The Ministry will take sovereignly measures in accordance with Yemeni law," added the source.
