The UAE declares $230 mln contribution to Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan 2021

ABU - DHABI
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced $230 million contribution to the UN Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen 2021.

The Emirati Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Reem Al-Hashimi said" her country has provided over $6 billion in aid since 2015 with focus on food, health reliefs and water".

As she contributed to the deliberations of Yemen Donor Conference 2021 held today in New York via video conference with the auspices of the UN, Switzerland and Sweden Kingdom al-Hashimi added " The UAE provided 122 tons of medical materials to support 120 thousand of health workers in 2020".
