Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Monday with UNICEF's Representative in Yemen Philippe Duamelle a number of topics associated with the organization's interventions in health field.
The meeting touched upon readiness of the ministry of public health for carrying out vaccination campaign against COVID-19 and technical and administrative measures for this purpose, as well as defining the targeted groups in accordance with priorities and activating awareness activities during campaigns of vaccination.
Buhuaibeh confirmed importance of including governmental party in conducting any surveys for making accurate database and information and exchanging them with other international organizations for providing services to people in remote areas, praising the organization for its support to health sector.
For his part, the organization's representative provided detailed explanation on the interventions carried out by the organization, including provision of a number of health centers with 300 refrigerators for protecting the vaccine and support to different health activities.
