Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik conferred Sunday with the United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock over the joint cooperation between the Yemeni government and the UN's agencies and organizations.
The discussions which conducted via video conference focused on the ongoing efforts to formulate Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan of 2021 and to mobilize the necessary resources to finance the plan through donors conference.
The conversations touched upon the US administration designation Houthi militia terrorist organization and the Yemeni government's measures, practical steps and efforts to reduce any potential impacts upon the humanitarian situation and actions.
Dr. Ma'een detailed Lowcock on the practical measures the Yemeni government has already taken to ensure the delivery of humanitarian and relief aids to the Yemeni people all over the country.
The Prime Minister cited the government's plans and underway efforts to manage the economic hardships and achieve the urgently needed economic recovery this year.
The United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock stated that the UN is ready to support the Yemeni government's efforts to cope with the economic and humanitarian challenges through donor conference to finance the Humanitarian Response Plan as soon as possible.
