Speaker of Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher met here Thursday with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Jean-Marie SAFA.
They discussed the latest developments about the peace efforts and Yemeni-French bilateral relations.
Dr. Bin Dhagher confirmed the legitimate government's keenness to achieve the comprehensive peace based on the three terms of reference including the GCC's Initiative, it executive mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and the UNSC's resolution 2216.
Bin Dagher expressed thanks and gratitude to the Republic of France for its support for Yemen, its unity, security and stability.
The French Ambassador affirmed his country's stance in support of legality, security, stability and unity of Yemen. He also confirmed France's support for the ongoing efforts to make peace.
Deputy Speaker of Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Abu al-Ghaith was in attendance.
