RIYADH - SABA
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Munear al-Wageah met Thursday here with officials from the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction in Yemen (SPDRY) and the Saudi Ministry of Sport.
Al-Wageah explored Saudi support to help repairing sport facilities in Yemen which have been largely damaged due to the ongoing war triggered by Iran-backed Houthi militia.
The two sides agreed that a protocol needs to be signed between the two countries so that the Yemen can benefit from the expertise of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the domains of sport, management and media.
